At a minimum, health reform should eliminate the practice of excluding coverage for pre-existing conditions and force all insurance companies to provide a price for a minimum set of services. This would allow people to actually compare prices. insurance companies could charge more for additional coverage, but without these changes, the notion that the private market is sufficient is hogwash. There is too much information disparity between the typical consumer and the insurance companies. Even if this reform was successful, I would still like to see a public option.David Morgannoreply@blogger.com
