Speaking as a nice girl from Old Teashirt, I have always (always!) been suspicous of the folk who live in Northern Vagina!

Two technical comments:
1. The link got cut off.
2. If you are posting to a web audience word files (.doc) are not a good choice. It is easy to save them as a PDF, especially if you use the free Word rival OpenOffice.

Thanks to whomever for pdfing the file.

Brenda R.,

Can appreciate that you might think of Tasmania in connection with "Old Teashirt." However, the more precise reference is to New Jersey, home state of Tyler Cowen, where he was indeed the youngest chess champion ever, until recently when someone got the championship at a younger age. However, that person did not win it from Tyler directly, and is not an ancestor of the mythical P.D.Q. Bach (a creation of Peter Schikele, who also created the University of Southern North Dakota at Hoople), and I do not think studied gambits with the late Bobby Fischer's dog, although Bobby Fischer was famous for his knowledge of obscure gambits.

Oh! Clearly there's a whole different world out there than here in ozstralia.

Actually I was really thinking about Corowa in Southern New South Wales as the 'old T shirt'. The North West of Tasmania has a whole different feel to it. I get the image of tall, noble but suffering tree.
