Anyone who still retains faith in this clown needs their head examined.
I suppose you could excuse this kind of behavior by saying that anything that makes driving a car more difficult is worth doing.

What ever happened to the "Governor Moonbeam" I have such fond memories of from the '80s?
Moonbeam became a left wing commentator on Pacifica Radio, then a right wing mayor on Oakland. Now that Newsom is out of the race, he is expected to shift even farther to the right.
