"Ghost Writing" and Plagiarism

"Trump himself has not (yet) plagiarized anything." Karen Topham wrote at Huffington Post.

Let's reconsider. Plagiarism is misrepresenting someone else's writing as your own. If a student in one of my classes hired a "ghost writer" to write their term paper, it's plagiarism. But it is O.K. if some celebrity does it. I get it.

Not sure if this analogy applies but Apple does not manufacturer smart phones. Foxconn does as contract manufacturer on behalf of Apple. Maybe Mrs. Trump hired a contract writer but this shows that the word "smart" does not always apply. OK - forgive me as I am really upset as to how my "smart" phone changes the spellings of my text messages.
